The Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the star of the Liverpool team, confirmed that he “is not interested in the opinion of the Real Madrid camp about his recent statements regarding revenge against the royal team, after losing the 2018 Champions League final.”

Salah said, in press statements: “I do not hope that we will beat Real Madrid, I believe that we will do so,” adding: “Real Madrid has more experience in the Champions League, but we are the best team in the world.”

He continued: “My words are clear and I said before, I wanted to face Madrid in the final because the last time my team lost, this is the time for revenge and this time we will win against them.”

And Carlos Casemiro, the Real Madrid midfielder, commented on the statements of Mohamed Salah, the star of the Liverpool team, in which he wished to face the Royal in the Champions League final this season.

“Mohamed Salah wants to face us? Everyone can choose what he wants,” Casemiro said in televised statements after the victory over Manchester City and reaching the final of the tournament.

He added, “Maybe he would like it because of his previous injury in front of us in the 2018 final,” continuing: “It is a new final and another history that we have to write against an opponent we respect and know that it will be difficult.”

Salah had stated before the match between Real Madrid and Manchester City in the semi-final second leg, that he wanted to face Real Madrid in the final.

After Real Madrid qualified, the Egyptian star posted a tweet through his account on the “Twitter” website, in which he said in English: “There is an account that we want to liquidate.”

It is noteworthy that Mohamed Salah suffered a severe shoulder injury in the 2018 Champions League final, which Real Madrid won (3-1), after a strong challenge from Sergio Ramos, the captain of the royal team at the time.

It is scheduled to meet Liverpool and Real Madrid in the Champions League final 2021-2022 on May 28 in the French capital, Paris.
