2- The two Saudis, Rayana Bernawi and Ali Al-Qarni, arrived today, Monday, at the International Space Station, after a journey that took about 16 hours, to be accompanied by former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson and American Major John Schofner with a mission called “X2”.
3- This trip to the space station comes within the Kingdom’s program for astronauts in order to qualify experienced Saudi cadres to participate in conducting scientific experiments, international research, space flights and future missions related to the space sector.
4- Pioneer Rayana Barnawi, 34, plans to conduct research related to stem cells and breast cancer, which she did over a period of 9 years that she spent as a researcher in the Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh.
