Saudi king sends messages to Gulf leaders

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

On Sunday, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent written messages to a number of Gulf leaders.

The Saudi Press Agency said that the Saudi monarch sent a written message to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Saudi Press Agency stated that the messages related to “the strong brotherly relations and ways to support and enhance them.”

The agency added that the message to Sheikh Tamim was delivered by the Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, when the Emir of Qatar received him in his office at the Amiri Diwan on Sunday.

Bin Farhan also delivered the message to the Emir of Kuwait during the reception of the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq also received a written message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques related to brotherly relations and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.

The message was received by Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, when he was received by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the growing bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.

In Bahrain, the Saudi Foreign Minister delivered a written message to the Bahraini Foreign Minister, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, addressed by King Salman to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, regarding the strong brotherly relations and ways to support and enhance them.
