According to Cebia, the trick for flooded cars is that electronics or engine problems can come on even a few months after the car has been cleaned and dried. The most sensitive components are electrical installations and emission systems. According to the company, it is therefore necessary to focus the examination primarily on cable belts and their connections (connectors), especially in hard-to-reach passages and channels within the body.

“If turbid water gets into catalytic converters or soot filters in the exhaust pipe under a vehicle or in fuel tanks, AdBlue and other running charges, it is not easy and sometimes even impossible to clean these areas so that vehicle systems continue to operate reliably,” the technician added.
