After months of a song embodying her pain, suffering and grief, here she is Shakira It releases a song, but with completely different content and feelings.
In her new song, Shakira mocks her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Pique, and his new girlfriend.
The song broke records, with more than 71 million views, after more than 24 hours.
According to a report published by the Guardian newspaper, the number of views achieved by the video makes it the most watched “Latin” song in the history of the platform, as its views within 24 hours amounted to about 63 million views.
Shakira, 45, and Pique, who played football for Barcelona, Manchester United and the Spanish national team, separated in June last year, after spending nearly 10 years together with their two sons.
After his separation, Pique, 35, began a relationship with Clarachia, 23, a young woman.
Trade in a Rolex for a Casio watch
The song came in an artistic collaboration between Shakira and the DJ, “Bizarab”, in which she said that she is “equal to two 22-year-old women,” noting that “he replaced a Ferrari with a Renault, and replaced a Rolex watch with a Casio watch.”
In the song, she said that she is at a level “above his level (Pique), and that is why he is with someone just like him,” and invited him to spend time training his “mind” just as he spends time training in the gym.
In November, Barcelona defender Pique announced a sudden end to his successful career in the world of the round, announcing his retirement from football.
Pique was associated with the Lebanese-Colombian singer, Shakira, after they met during the filming of the video clip for the song “Waka Waka” during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, which his country won for the first time.
Shakira, a few months ago, with the participation of rapper Ozuna, released her first song after her separation from her lover Pique. Shakira embodied in the video clip her pain, suffering and sadness, and the song included many shocking scenes, so she started singing while she was lost and crying, then we saw her heart bleeding on the ground.
It hurt
At the beginning of the song, Shakira meets her lover in a shopping mall, where he suddenly fires a projectile at her heart.
“It wasn’t your fault, it wasn’t mine,” Shakira says. “It was the fault of the monotony, I didn’t say anything, but it was painful. I knew this would happen.”
Fans who followed the details of Shakira and Pique’s separation confirmed that the famous singer spoke to him after he let her down and destroyed their 12-year love story that produced two children.
