A member of the UAE women’s parachute team, Sheikha Ahmed, revealed that she is considering making a jump carrying the UAE flag from a high place to coincide with the “Expo 2020” event hosted by the UAE next October, pointing out that such an idea needs to be in a rare place. She indicated that the current health conditions related to “Covid-19” limited her activity in this regard, stressing that her last big leap was in November of last year, when she achieved her dream of jumping from the highest pyramids of Giza in Egypt from a height of 15,000 feet. .
Sheikha Ahmed told “Emirates Today”: “I am seriously considering establishing a professional women’s skydiving team, as I am seeking to give my experiences in this field, which lasted for about 10 years, to beginners and novices in this field, as well as to all women who have a desire in the field of sports. Skydiving is an exciting and fun sport at the same time.”
She confirmed that although the weather is currently difficult and does not help the training, she is training at the Margham Club in Dubai, stressing that she will return to activity again during the coming months of September and October.
