Ahmed Hossam (Mido), the former coach of Ismaili, defended his recent experience with the dervishes, refusing to describe it as a “failure.”

Mido said on the (Al-Mehwar) channel that he did not fail with Ismaili in the first term in the 2015-2016 season, as he made a strong team with the lowest financial cost and achieved outstanding results.

He added, “In the last term this season, I decided to go through the experience as if I was jumping into the flames for the sake of Ismaili and its fans, and I faced difficult circumstances, and we achieved results that were not bad, even if they were not the best.”

He commented on Issam El-Hadary, the coach of the Syrian national team’s goalkeepers, against him, saying: “Al-Hadary is a legend in the history of goalkeeping, but I criticized his decision to leave the Olympic team days before the first official match.”

And he added, “I asked Muhammad Barakat and Hazem Imam, two members of the Football Association’s board of directors, and they confirmed that El-Hadary had not informed anyone of the decision to leave, and I believe that Egyptian football is greater than Syrian football, so there is no motive for this behavior other than money.”

He continued: “Al-Hadary is one of the men of Engineer Hani Abu Raida, a member of the Executive Office of the International Federation of FIFA, and it is certain that he did not leave, except after obtaining the green light from Abu Raida.”

He pointed out that he refused to train Zamalek after the departure of the Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira, because this timing is not appropriate, and it will not benefit the white team, stressing that he was not a day late for Zamalek and never preferred his interest to the interest of the entity.

And he continued: “It is possible that I will become president of Zamalek one day, but in the current period I am not thinking about that.”
And he concluded: “I hope that Hazem Imam will run for the presidency of Zamalek, as he is a legend within the White Castle alongside the history of the ancient Imam family, and Hazem has all the ingredients for success if he gets the necessary support from all sides.”
