He added, during a Skype call to the “This Evening” program broadcast on the “Cairo News” satellite channel, with the journalist “Tamer Hanafi”, that the President of Kenya, William Ruto, and the President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, decided to travel with some heads of state and government to Khartoum, to start negotiations. With the parties to the conflict and participate in personally calling the two parties to the conflict to stop mutual hostilities and allow humanitarian work and build dialogue.

He expressed his hope for an end to hostilities and commitment to calls for a cease-fire, stressing the need for dialogue to take place from within Sudan, as the Sudanese political forces develop proposed solutions to this crisis.

Sudan has been witnessing armed clashes between the regular army and the Rapid Support Forces since April 15, which spread to the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, and caused catastrophic humanitarian conditions for Sudanese citizens and foreign nationals.
