In June 2019, Lamborghini unveiled the Sterato Concept as a Hurricane with off-road elements. It didn’t take long for reports of a possible production version to emerge, as those rumors gained traction earlier this year when spy photographers spotted just such a test car. Now that the first official trailer has been released, the off-road hurricane is already on its way.
In the video, which shows a duel between a car and a cyclist, the Hurricane on Stilts has roof rails and ample ground clearance to overcome bumps. Despite the camouflage, the plastic body trim glued to the fenders also stands out. There are also additional lights in the front and on the roof.
The brand has not mentioned the technology yet. Recalibrated all-wheel drive and modified suspension can be assumed. The Sterato concept was based on the Huracán Evo with a 640 horsepower, 10-cylinder naturally aspirated engine.
The Sterrato, if the production version retains this designation, will be followed by the Tecnica road and Huracán GT3 EVO2 track version in the model’s final years of production. It might be a hurricane swan song. It is not yet clear when the curtain will be officially unveiled.
