Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, which has influence in Idlib and part of the western countryside of Aleppo, denied its connection to a video recording of a person trampling the flag of the Syrian revolution with his foot, in one of the military headquarters in the countryside of Aleppo.
In a statement issued today, Monday, June 20, “Tahrir al-Sham” confirmed that the person and the video recording were linked to or related to it, denouncing this “attack and insult to science.”
The “Tahrir al-Sham” organization condemned the acceleration of some accounts on social media by pointing the finger at “Tahrir al-Sham” without proof, evidence or proof.
“Tahrir al-Sham” called for the investigation of the truth and credibility, and indicated that it believed that behind this recording “malicious and misguided hands are known to cause sedition among the sons of the revolution,” as she put it.
The Commission ended its statement that its efforts were too great to be disturbed by a video recording of an “unknown slanderer.”
Activists and local networks circulated a video recording of a person in an unclear military dress trampling the flag of the Syrian revolution, as being a member of the “Tahrir al-Sham” during its control of a site for the “Al-Sham Legion” faction in the countryside of Afrin, north of Aleppo, on Sunday 19 June.
The recording was accompanied by a denunciation by many local and military authorities and activists of the person’s action, and angry reactions amid accusations of “Tahrir al-Sham.”
The statement of “Tahrir al-Sham” came a day after its statement in which it stated its position on the clashes between the “National Army” factions, and the reasons for sending forces to the areas of influence of the “National National Army” following clashes between the “Ahrar al-Sham – Eastern Sector” faction and the “Third Legion” ( The Levant Front) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
In its previous statement, the “HTC” said that it pushed with all its might to stop the ongoing fighting, and that its intervention came “to prevent the arena from being drawn into absurd internal fighting,” in addition to “pressing the parties to the necessity of understanding and arbitrating the language of reason, away from the language of weapons.”
The clashes that lasted for a day and a half, starting on the morning of Saturday, June 19, between the two factions of the “National Army” resulted in deaths and injuries that were not documented from an official source. Several local networks reported the names of dead and injured from both sides and among civilians as well.
Although “Tahrir al-Sham” confirmed the withdrawal of its forces, which headed to the areas of the countryside of Aleppo as a result of the clash, new reinforcements were pushed by “Tahrir al-Sham” today to the village of Basoufan, north of Aleppo, and three military points were established there, according to information obtained by Enab Baladi from a leader in the “Failaq faction” Sham”.

The clashes, which included several villages and towns in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, stopped with the acceleration of talk of a future agreement that each faction would remain in its headquarters and its connection points, according to what was published by sources close to the “National Army.”
Several villages in the eastern countryside of Aleppo witnessed clashes between the two parties months ago, due to tension and disagreement, after the “32nd Division” attempted to defect from the “Third Legion.”
