The Brazilian player indirectly caused Al-Ahly to drop
Sports journalist Manar Shaheen believes that the reason for Al-Ahly’s relegation is a shot by its Brazilian champion Anderson Talisca, the playmaker of Al-Nassr, during the match between the two teams.
The match between Al-Ahly and Al-Nasr, in the 28th round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League, witnessed a positive tie between the two teams with a goal for the same.
How did Al-Ahly fall because of Talisca?
Shaheen posted, through his personal account on the social networking site “Twitter”, a tweet, confirming that the failure to expel Talisca during the Al-Ahly match against Al-Nasr, caused the downfall of Al-Raqi.
Manar wrote in his tweet: “What if Al-Ahly’s high-end arbitration was fair and Taliska was expelled in this shot, would Al-Ahly be relegated one day and we would see him in the ranks of the first class? With all realism, no, no.”
He continued, “We need a fair and realistic talk from Al-Ahly media for a part of what happened to him this season.”
Why would Talisca’s expulsion bring match points to Al-Ahly?
It appears in the photo published by Manar Al-Shaheen, a very strong intervention from the Brazilian Talisca, deserves to get a red card directly, but the referee ignored the matter.
Taliska was sent off in that match, which would have given Al-Ahly the full match points, as Taliska scored the equalizer in the last moments with a direct free kick.
Al-Ahly was officially relegated to the First Division for the first time in its history, after occupying the fifteenth “penultimate” position in the Saudi Professional League.
