The British Council presents international awards to celebrate the achievements of UK graduates in Egypt

The British Council is delighted to launch the Global British Education Alumni Awards in Egypt to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Egyptians who have studied at an educational institution in the United Kingdom.

Award winners and finalists are leaders in their fields of study who have used their UK university experience to make a positive contribution to their communities, industries and countries.

This year’s award categories include science and sustainability, business and innovation, creativity, culture and social work.

This officially opens the door to applications in Egypt First September 2022Note that the last date for submission of applications is October 28, 2022. It is noteworthy that the National Alumni Awards will be held in Egypt in addition to the nomination of all eligible applicants to participate in the Global Alumni Awards.

National Awards in Egypt

Finalists for the awards will be announced between December 2022 and March 2023 at a ceremony hosted by the British Council in Egypt and the British Embassy in Cairo, where winners in each category will be recognized for their achievements and receive opportunities for professional development. Alumni Awards finalists and winners will be announced globally in 2023 and celebrated in a digital campaign that will raise their profile and tell their story and success. Prize winners will have the opportunity to raise their international profile, expand their professional network and enhance their careers through a networking visit to the UK (subject to restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic at the time).
