The British Embassy in Cairo announced in a statement today that applications for the UK Government’s Seven Scholarship are open from tomorrow until November 2, 2021.
The Sewing Scholarship is awarded to individuals of all backgrounds who can demonstrate that they have the commitment and skills needed to make a positive difference, and that a UK Masters degree can demonstrate how to help them.
According to the embassy report, the scholarship provides full financial support for researchers to pursue a one-year postgraduate degree at any British university and in all disciplines, while providing the opportunity to build strong relationships with a wide range of exclusive academic, professional and cultural experiences. Sevening offers fellowships in the fields of art, culture and Islamic studies.
In 2021, Sevening awarded the Egyptians 36 scholarships in various fields, including environmental science, finance, business administration, international relations, development and law. More than half of the successful students are women, and 26 students are preparing to graduate.
Since its inception in 1983, more than 55,000 individuals and more than 1,300 Egyptians worldwide have had the opportunity to study in the UK – the result of 37 years of investment.
Most Important Egyptian Seven Graduates: The current Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Mohammed Abdel-Atti, and the Deputy Minister of Financial Policy, Mr. Ahmed Kushuk, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank. Rami Abul Naga, Chairman Egyptian Stock Exchange Mr. Mohammed Farid and Federal Infrastructure and Energy Commissioner African D. Amani Abu Jeet.
More than 1,500 scholarships are available worldwide for the 2022/2023 academic year, a testament to the UK’s continued commitment to nurturing tomorrow’s leaders.
