The brutally throated machine ignited 444 hp per ton on the Autobahn, and flew like a toy next to the trucks.

Do you know the feeling you get when you drive real cars in the parking lot with fast remote control car? You can experience something like this even at speeds approaching 300 km / h on the road, you only need a Lotus 3-Eleven.
It’s been a long time since I’ve played with models of remote control cars, but obviously the feelings associated with them can go deep into my memory. It seems a little surreal when you drive a capable miniature close to real cars, these are Gulliver’s Travels at Natura. One has no illusions that he will experience something like this again at a later age, unless we rely on playing with our children. But as you can see, it can be repeated, perhaps more intensely.
This is shown in the video below, where the folks from AutoTopNL demonstrate the dynamics of the Lotus 3-Eleven on a fast German highway. If you no longer remember what this device is, then remember it with the help of period performance. Or accept the information that this is a brutally shaved car that pushes a 410-horsepower compressor 3.5 V6 (later also 430) into a simple roofless chassis, two seats, steering wheel, paddle shifter, pedals and digital display. …and that’s basically it. Thanks to this, it weighs only 925 kg, so the power-to-weight ratio is 444 hp per ton. For comparison – the Porsche 911 Turbo S, one of the best accelerating cars of all time, has “only” 396 horsepower per ton.
It is a car made more for circuit games, but it also got a version for the road, which was supposed to start from 100 in 3.3 seconds and reach 290 km / h. Surely the first one someone tried it on (although 311 pieces were produced, it wouldn’t be a very long list of people one way or the other), and the second might not be. Below you can see an attempt during which 290 km / h will not fail, the pilot will run out of courage, but he will exceed 270 km / h.
In this case, resignation to reach the stated maximum is easy to understand. It basically sits on a board, drives almost nothing with a powerful motor and is exposed to all the influences of the environment. And when you see this go-kart flying around the slow trucks in the right lane, you can scare it. Anyway, an unusual sight, see for yourself. The second time around, you won’t see something like this right away.
