Tripoli, July 26, 2022 (WAL) – President of the Presidential Council Muhammad Al-Manfi and his Deputy Abdullah Al-Lafi this evening, Tuesday, British Ambassador to Libya Caroline Horndall and Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the British Foreign Office, Diplomacy to the Presidential Council. Stephen Hickey, who carried the message; Urges their country’s government’s continued support for the Council to achieve stability in Libya to achieve elections.
During the meeting held at the Council office in Tripoli, views were to be brought together on the latest developments in Libya, ways to resolve the political crisis in Libya and efforts to achieve stability through the Presidential Council initiative. Political parties, parliamentary and presidential elections were paved and reviewed.
The President also praised the United Kingdom’s efforts to achieve stability in Libya and the depth of relations between Libya and the United Kingdom in many fields and ways to enhance them to serve the interests of both allies.
In this regard, the Ambassador commended the strategic vision of the National Reconciliation Program recently launched by the Council as the basic pillar of social peace and emphasized the importance of the Presidency-led phase to achieve stability in the country. (Vall) FM/RT
