Al-Ahly achieved an exciting remontada against its host El Entag El Harby in their postponed match of the 24th round of the Egyptian League, which was held on Sunday.
Al-Ahly managed to overturn the result on Al-Entaj Al-Harby, after being late by two goals, to seize an exciting 3-2 victory, in a match that continued to provoke until the last moments.
Al-Ahly opened the scoring through a penalty kick by Tunisian international Ali Maaloul in the 38th minute, before Mohamed Tariq returned and scored the equalizing goal for El Entag El Harby in the 54th minute, then the goal of progress by player Mustafa Al-Badri in the 64th minute.
Al-Ahly returned to the match at the last moments, through Hussein Al-Shahat, who scored the equalizer in the 85th minute, before substitute Walter Bwalya scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute.
Al-Ahly continued its march towards the top of the Egyptian league table, which is currently occupied by Zamalek, as it reduced the difference with it to 6 points.
Al-Ahly raised its score to point 55 in second place in the Egyptian league standings, while the military production balance froze at point 19 in the last place and came close to relegation to the second degree.
Al-Ahmar has two postponed matches in the Egyptian League to be equal with Zamalek in the number of matches, and in the event of winning them, Al-Ahmar will jump to the top by the difference of direct confrontations.
