The first female coach for the Saudi women’s national team begins her duties

The Saudi Football Association has officially announced that German coach Monica Stubb will officially assume her duties as the first coach of the Saudi women’s football team, amid great interest in this unique event.

This came in a special event held at the Al-Ittihad Center, in which the German coach showed her enthusiasm and pride in the exceptional opportunity to lead the first women’s team in the country’s history.

Last August, the Women’s Football Department in the Saudi Federation announced the official contract with German coach Stab, given her great experience.

Monica is a pioneer in the development of women’s football, with extensive experience spanning more than 25 years, in addition to coaching national teams, managing clubs and occupying executive positions.

Monica Stabb was present in the auditions of joining the first Saudi women’s football team last October in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah, and she visited the women’s teams to check out the technical levels of the players.

The German coach is awaiting the launch of the first edition of the Women’s League, on November 22, to follow up on the players and choose the best to represent the green during the next stage.
