The first show has been planned at the Munich Motor Show, which will start on Monday, but we can see the first pictures now.
One of the novelties expected at Munich IAA Mobility 2021, which will start on Monday, September 6, will be the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric, the arrival of which the automaker has warned us for several months. But the wait ended sooner than it should be.
New Renault photos have appeared on the CocheSpias Facebook and Instagram accounts completely without disguise. We already knew its main features from the recently published photos of the car under the camouflage chip, but now we can finally see most of the interesting details from the outside for the first time.
This is especially true of the front bumper, its lower grille with a different paintwork, or the daytime running lights that cut the bumper in an interesting way towards the wheel arches. From the profile, the car is very similar to a crossover, but the appearance is also attracted by recessed knobs or interesting lines around the wheel arches, which fill relatively large discs. At the same time, we certainly have no doubt that the shapes of the rims were subject to aerodynamics.
Unfortunately, the photos don’t show the stern, but one does show a view of the modern cockpit, which is dominated by a panel with a digital instrument panel, a vertical infotainment system and a small panel of buttons, which perhaps serves for quick access to specific submenus or ventilation settings.
We’ll have to wait for the full technology reveal, but we already know that the basis for the car will be the new CMF-EF platform, shared with Nissan Ariya. At the moment we also have a proven drive system that uses a 160 kWh electric motor with 60 kWh batteries, which should offer a range of 450 km. Maybe we will learn about others.
Of course, there is still a possibility that the new images are only the work of a capable graphic artist. However, Coche Spias has repeatedly brought in real photos of the cars before premieres, so we don’t have much reason to doubt the authenticity this time either. So, how do you like the important and long-awaited novelty of the brand? Let me know in the comments.
