Foreign Minister Same Shoukri met with the Permanent Representatives of France, the United Kingdom and the United States at the United Nations this evening, Tuesday.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafeez said on Tuesday evening on his official page on the social networking site Twitter that the meeting came amid serious steps to present the dimensions of Egypt’s position on the Egyptian Renaissance Dam.

At the request of Egypt and Sudan, Secretary of State Sam Shoukri traveled to New York to prepare for a planned session of the United Nations Security Council to resolve the issue of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
During the visit, Minister Shoukri will hold regular meetings and intensive meetings with his ministerial colleagues, Permanent Representatives of the Security Council member states and United Nations officials. The issue of a renaissance dam based on the need to reach a legal agreement on filling and operating the dam that takes into account the interests of the dam. All three countries defend Egypt’s rights and water interests.
