It is a bit ambiguous whether Intel is trying to tell us that water is flowing down, but as part of its marketing campaign (for example) to show that laptops with their processors are better at games than Apple laptops, the following chart has been released. Other things, it tells us that even the best MacBook can’t keep up with Intel processors:
But if you take a closer look at what Intel actually compares, you will find that it is a MacBook Pro powered by an Intel Core i9-9980HK processor versus an Intel Core i5-11400H laptop. So it is a comparison of an Intel-based platform with an Intel-based platform. So the Mac that just can’t catch up is Intel. Older model. This notebook with Intel processor is a newer model. The newer Intel model is faster than the older Intel model. Is Intel trying to tell us that? It’s hard to say.
But it’s a game comparison, which talks more about the graphics card. MacBook is equipped with the Radeon Pro 5600M, the latest GeForce RTX 3060 laptop, a newer generation of graphics card, which matches the difference in performance. So the prevailing next generation graphics are stronger than the prevailing previous generation graphics. Yeah. According to Intel, this likely proves that the newer Intel processor is more powerful than the older Intel processor.
We probably won’t know what Intel was trying to say about processor performance by comparing gaming tests on different performance graphics cards. It’s a pity that when Intel pits itself up against Apple, it kills many logic errors. If Intel cut a comparison Tiger lake Compared to the Apple M1 at the same TDP, it would have been a different coffee. Unfortunately, Intel hasn’t compared products to the same TDP recently, as the graphs for the previous version showed Tiger Lake – Resuscitation.
