And the German Football Association stated, today, Wednesday, that the badge, which will be in the colors black, red and gold, that was used in the past, will be worn in every match until the European Nations Championship 2024, which Germany will host.

The European Union (UEFA) will provide the badges of the leaders in the European Nations Championship.

It is noteworthy that Kimmich will be the captain of the German national team during the absence of Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich goalkeeper.

Striker Niklas Volkrug said in an interview with reporters, today, Wednesday: “I think it is very important that we learn from that situation. Hansi Flick (the national team coach) said that our focus is on football and performance.”

“I think the right thing to do is to point out that we will do everything we can to put on a good performance and make our fans happy,” he added.

The German Federation stated that the return to wearing a badge in the colors of the German flag was approved by Rudi Fuller, the new team manager, and coach Flick and Kimmich, and Bernd Neuendorf, president of the Federation, also participated.

Flick said, “We must look forward and perform well in the European Championships.”

The change of colors of the German national team captaincy heralded a new start for coach Flick’s team, and the list witnesses the presence of seven new players in preparation for the European Championship that will be held next year in Germany, as the team wants to return to success again.

Flick promised all players to have playing time in the next two matches, such as Borussia Dortmund defender Marius Wolf and Brentford striker Kevin Shide.

The 27-year-old added: “I never thought I would be a national team player one day. I have always been trying to help the team here and in Dortmund. I always want to make a 100 percent effort on the field, no matter where I play.”
