Hatim Muhammad Al-Bakry: The dispute between the two movements is political, not religious, and does not affect the fatwa in Palestine

Egypt represents the moderate Islamic state and the beacon of true knowledge

Israel must withdraw from Palestine and give us the right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif is a long-standing religious institution.. Its curricula are among the strongest in knowledge

The Palestinian Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Hatem Muhammad Al-Bakry, said that the Zionist entity does not differentiate between Fatah and Hamas, and does not differentiate between one citizen and another, and its main goal is to destroy everyone and rob the land. Sincere intentions, towards the Palestinian cause and towards Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

Al-Bakry added in an interview withSunrise“The dispute between Fatah and Hamas is political, not religious or ideological, and did not affect the fatwa in Palestine, pointing out that Egypt has been serving Islam for more than 13 centuries and represents the moderate Islamic state.

And the text of the conversation:

* First, do the political differences between Fatah and Hamas affect the fatwa in Palestine?

Certainly not.. the dispute between the two parties did not affect the fatwa and has nothing to do with religious matters, and there is no conflict in fatwas between imams of mosques in Palestine in any form or form, so the fatwa is issued in accordance with the legal regulations and provisions and cannot be deviated from its course.

The dispute between Fatah and Hamas is not religious or ideological, but rather a political dispute, no more and no less, between the two directions. We hope that the Palestinian community will succeed in reducing this division and returning to the national unity that unites all.

* What are your perceptions of resolving this dispute between the two movements?

– This dispute between Fatah and Hamas must be shortened, and a return to national unity. Everyone is equal before the Zionist occupation. The occupation does not differentiate between Fatah and Hamas, nor does it differentiate between one citizen and another. Everyone, so the dispute that exists now between Fatah and Hamas can be settled, through sincere intentions, regarding the Palestinian cause and the fate of Jerusalem.

* You participated in the “Religion and Citizenship” conference in Cairo… Do you see any conflict between religion and citizenship?

There is no conflict between citizenship and religion. Citizenship is basically a part of religion, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in Medina built a society in which everyone lives according to a lofty goal, which is to preserve the homeland without being robbed or humiliated. Therefore, we gather a message that preserves the homeland, and this is what True citizenship, the homeland must be presented and sanctified, and everyone who resides in it must take all rights, perform his duties, and defend his capabilities.

* How to exercise citizenship in Palestine while embracing the three monotheistic religions?

The indigenous people who have been inhabiting Palestine since time immemorial are the owners of the two religions: Islam and Christianity. As for Judaism, it did not appear in Palestine except with the advent of the occupation, and the existing dispute between the people of Palestine and the Zionist occupation is not an ideological or religious dispute, and does not exist just because the religion of the occupying people is Judaism. We respect all religions, and this is the Sunnah of God in his creation, and the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in his followers, but the dispute is political, based on the right of the people of the earth to rebuild their land.

* What is your message to the Zionist entity?

Our message is clear… which is that the Zionist entity must withdraw from the occupied Palestinian territories, and give the Palestinian people full rights to choose their institutions, manage their state, and its independence, with East Jerusalem as its capital. occupying it, robbing it of its capabilities, and expelling its people from it.

* What about cooperation with Egyptian religious institutions?

We are in constant contact with the Egyptian religious institutions, and we realize that these institutions have a long arm and a long arm in the work related to religion and Islamic law. Egypt has been serving Islam for more than 13 centuries and has Al-Azhar. In perception, science and science, what makes the Egyptian world a unique scientific repertoire over hundreds of years.

* What about the Al-Azhar institutes affiliated to Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Palestine?

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif is a beacon of knowledge and scholars, and it has institutes in the Gaza Strip in the southern governorates, and there is only one institute in the West Bank that was established 4 months ago in cooperation and coordination with the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

* How do you see the curricula of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif?

The subject taught through Al-Azhar institutes, whether it is at the level of the Arabic language and forensic sciences or at the level of other scientific subjects, is considered one of the strongest curricula in terms of science, education, study and teaching, and only qualified professors can teach it with great and tremendous scientific capabilities.
