Imad Seif, Secretary of the Future of a Homeland Party in the Red Sea, said that the development train during the era of the human president goes on a road that has not witnessed any development since the 1960s, and it is the “Safaga-Qusair-Marsa Alam” road, which is a continuation of the development process and the giant national projects that it did not witness. country for many years.
Seif pointed out that the project of duplicating the “Safaga – Quseir – Marsa Alam” road comes in light of the comprehensive development plan in the road file in Egypt and within the goals of sustainable development and linking Upper Egypt with coastal cities, as part of the projects plan implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications to increase the strength of a giant Egyptian roads, saluting President Sisi, who restored spirit to southern and upper Egypt.
Essam Ali, a tourism expert, explained that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s inauguration of the “Safaga-Qusair-Marsa Alam” axis, serving 85,000 hotel rooms within the cities of the Red Sea Governorate, and that it will also help in light of the hotel expansions that Egypt is witnessing recently in Marsa Alam and Qusair. And Safaga, the rate of accidents on the roads has decreased, and it is also a flash of light after the state ignored these roads for 40 years.
The tourism expert added that the opening of the new “Safaga – Marsa Alam” road will help reduce the time period for tourist trips, especially between Hurghada and Marsa Alam, and will bear the large number of tourist buses that depart daily between the cities of the Red Sea.
Ahmed Dakkak, Secretary of the Future of a Homeland Party organization in the Red Sea, confirmed that the “Safaga-Qusair-Marsa Alam” road is one of the most important axes in the Republic, as it serves a large number of tourist hotels, in addition to the fact that the road links the Safaga port with the neighboring governorates, which contributes significantly to the train development, and thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who brought life back to the road.
Transportation: The road is 200 km long, at a cost of 1.7 billion pounds
The Ministry of Transport had announced that within the framework of the implementation of the national road project, which aims to add 7,000 km of roads to the lengths of the current network, bringing its total lengths to 30,000 km, the project of duplicating the Red Sea Coast Road “Safaga / El Quseir / Marsa Alam” with a length of 200 km and a cost of 1.7 billion pounds.
Lieutenant-General, Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, confirmed that the project is a continuation of the red sea coast road duplication plan, where the duplication of the road for a distance of 35 km south of the city of Safaga was previously established, where a new lane was constructed parallel to the existing two-lane road with a total width of 9.2 meters, pointing out that it is one of the most important Road projects in the Red Sea Governorate, as it contributes to the rapid access to the main cities in the Red Sea. The road also serves the objectives of tourism development, hotels and tourist resorts located along its path, as it extends from Safaga directly to Marsa Alam.
Lieutenant-General Kamel Al-Wazir confirmed that the Ministry of Transport is implementing 10 road projects within the Red Sea Governorate, with a total cost of 3.38 billion pounds, the most important of which is raising the efficiency and developing the “Al-Zafarana/Ras Ghareb” road with a length of 103 km, and raising the efficiency and developing the “Bernice/ Shalateen/ Abu Ramad” road. Halayeb, with a length of 280 km, indicating that an integrated study is currently being prepared to develop and raise the efficiency of the “Al-Qusayr-Qift” road within the important transverse axes linking the Red Sea coast with the Nile Valleys and Upper Egypt.
