It is noteworthy that Saturn reaches the position of opposition to the sun once a year, knowing that it was in the position of facing the sun the last time on Tuesday 21 July of last year, while it will occur again on Sunday 14 August 2022 AD.
He pointed out that the residents of the State of Qatar can monitor and track the movement of the planet Saturn during this phenomenon throughout the night with the naked eye, because they will be able to see Saturn above the eastern horizon after sunset tomorrow at 6:20 pm Doha local time, and Saturn will continue in its movement until it reaches To its maximum height (the azimuth point) in the sky of the State of Qatar at 11:40 pm Doha local time, and then it will be at an altitude of 46 degrees arc above the southern horizon, and it will continue its movement towards the western horizon to set with the date of sunrise approximately Tuesday.
It is known that during the phenomenon of Saturn’s opposition to the sun, the centers of both Saturn, Earth and the Sun are on one straight line, with the Earth located in the middle between them, and Saturn will be on the opposite side of the Sun exactly, in addition to that Saturn on this day will be at the farthest point in its orbit from The sun will be at a distance of 9.95 astronomical units from the center of the sun, and one astronomical unit is equivalent to approximately 150 million kilometers.
