Ferrari hides less and less a constant evolution of the car, which does not fit into its tradition. But what at first glance looks like a camouflaged Ferrari is still a Maserati full of galloping horse technology.

Ferrari’s first-ever SUV was talked about long before the Italian automaker confirmed it would actually produce something like this. However, speculation can be understood on the one hand and hesitation on the other. Today, a large number of customers are turning to the raised chassis, however something that goes to the Maranello brand like rice for steaks. However, after Lamborghini, Maserati or Bentley and Rolls-Royce succumbed to modern trends, Ferrari also shed its hesitation. In 2023 at the latest, the model with the already confirmed name Purosangue should arrive.

The fact that the Italians continued on this path was confirmed by the recent video, which captured a convincing prototype. However, the Youtuber, better known as Varryx, took a lot of risk when being shot, as Ferrari has been known to try to punish a person severely if they don’t like something. And most of the time, it is also successful, as evidenced by court rulings, which will quietly punish customers of the brand if they take pictures of shoes on their Ferrari, thereby promoting another brand.

Varryx wasn’t at risk in this regard, but things like GDPR should be kept in mind, as well as the fact that in-flight cameras are illegal in many places. So the Maranello SUV’s registration and pursuit ends the moment a YouTuber spotted the police on the road. At the same time, it may seem from the video that we have a semi-finished car with camouflage in front of us, but in fact it is still a so-called mule, that is, a modified Maserati Levante, in which Ferrari is testing the technology of its novelty. However, it is clear from the prototype that Ferrari would follow a slightly different path from the rest of the world in the case of the first car with a raised body. Although it would have a taller body structure, it wouldn’t be far off the ground.

The Italians want a primarily practical model, not one that distorts the brand’s perception as a manufacturer of the world’s best sports cars. Therefore, although the Purosangue will provide more head and leg room for passengers on both rows of seats, it will be taken to the field more by journalists. This is actually because they want to prove what the novelty of the brand can do. However, the owners themselves will enjoy the atmospheric V6 hybrid or V12 engine, especially on the road, just as they do today at the Maranello.
