Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Shura Council, during its fifty-first regular session of the second year of the eighth session, held today, Tuesday, approved, via video call, chaired by the Vice-President of the Shura Council, Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salmi, on 3 memoranda of understanding in several fields with a number of countries.
The Shura Council approved a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and rationalization of its consumption between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Tunisia, according to what he posted on his official account on Twitter.
The Council approved a draft agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in the field of air transport services.
The Shura Council also approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Space Authority and the Italian Space Agency for cooperation in the field of space activities for peaceful purposes.
The Shura Council discussed, during today’s session, the annual report of the Saudi Tourism Authority for the fiscal year 1442/1443 AH
Council member Zaher Al-Shehri called on the Saudi Tourism Authority to give high-readiness tourist and cultural destinations and sites a priority in tourism marketing, in addition to developing many other tourism services and products.
The member, Saleh Al-Shamrani, called on the Saudi Tourism Authority to ensure the suitability, improvement and development of the components of tourism by putting in place the necessary legislation and regulations that ensure the provision of tourism services to tourists with high quality of housing, transportation and subsistence means at reasonable competitive prices.
