The Space Authority organizes an introductory lecture for institutions of higher education on the initiative (Kibo Cube)

Manama, June 27 (BNA) The National Space Science Authority will organize, tomorrow morning, Monday, via visual means, an introductory lecture for higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain on the most prominent initiatives of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), which are carried out in cooperation with the Space Exploration Agency Japanese (JAXA), presented by a group of space engineers at the National Space Science Authority and in the presence of representatives of higher education institutions and a number of employees of the General Secretariat of the Higher Education Council.

On this occasion, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the National Space Science Authority for its cooperation with the Council and its keenness to inform higher education institutions of these important initiatives that would stimulate Researchers and students of higher education institutions and providing them with opportunities to engage in all fields that develop their skills and qualify them to keep pace with future challenges, thus contributing to the realization of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

The initiative aims to provide an opportunity for all countries to benefit from space science and technology, by providing support for educational and research institutions to design and build CubeSats, and then arrange for their launch through the Japanese Experiment Unit (Kibo) on the International Space Station (ISS).
