The Swimming Federation is organizing, at nine in the morning, at Al-Wasl Club swimming pool, experiments to select the national teams for swimming for ages 12-17, and the general public, before participating in the Gulf Championship, scheduled for August 19-22 in Doha, and hosting the Arab Championship. The first for swimming in the short course in Abu Dhabi, during the period from 24 to 27 October next.
The Secretary-General of the Swimming Federation, Abdullah Al-Wahaibi, confirmed to “Emirates Today” that the federation addressed the clubs to send a list of swimmers participating in the tests to choose the best elements, and said that the participants would be evaluated to represent the country in the Gulf and Arab championships scheduled for this year.
The Swimming Federation had announced, during its official account last week, the adoption of the statute, as it would send the list to the International Swimming Federation, for approval, and then follow up the rest of the procedures to complete the electoral process that the International Swimming Federation had requested to postpone until the adoption of the statute since August the past.
