Yesterday, the UAE celebrated the Flag Day, which falls on November 3, the anniversary of the assumption of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, as the Presidency of the State, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State The Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, yesterday, Wednesday, at eleven in the morning, raised the UAE flag in Al Wasl Square at the headquarters of “Expo 2020 Dubai”, in celebration of “Flag Day”.
On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “We chose to celebrate the Flag Day within a site where the world gathered on the land of the Emirates to achieve one goal, which is to create a better future for the human being. And in the midst of this global gathering and on this precious occasion, we affirm the firmness of Our national constants and the values on which the union was built, the most important of which is openness to the world and the sincere desire to strengthen bridges of constructive cooperation with various brotherly and friendly peoples…to reach a tomorrow of peace, prosperity and stability.
His Highness added: “The UAE flag will remain proud of the determination of the people of the country and their insistence on excellence and leadership.. It will remain dear to their work and knowledge.. We will raise it and the generations after us as a symbol of the Emirates’ elevation, a title for its identity, the strength of its union, the solidity of its structure and the breadth of its ambitions for the future… We raise it with achievements that nations and peoples are proud of. An ambitious development renaissance led by my brother Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, following up on my brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and with the support of our brothers the rulers of the Emirates.. so that we can reach new heights together to make our future and participate in creating the future of the world around us… The world, so that the UAE flag remains good tidings and optimism for every land it comes to or where it reaches.”
On Flag Day, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, renewed the covenant with the nation under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, that his flag remain a source of our pride. A symbol of the strength of our unity.
Yesterday, Wednesday, His Highness said on Twitter: “Fifty years ago, our people united and their word met under one banner, and on Flag Day, we renew the covenant with the nation under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa that his banner remains a source of our pride and a symbol of the strength of our unity.”
