Circulating videos showed what was said to be that the Turks removed the Israeli flag from the ceremonial path through which Israeli President Isaac Herzog passed in the Turkish capital.
According to media sources, these flags were removed before the ceremony held earlier in the day for the Israeli president, who is visiting Turkey for 24 hours to restore relations between the two countries, as he said as he prepared to climb the stairs of his plane at Ben Gurion Airport before heading to Ankara.

In the meantime, circulating footage also showed what was said to be the burning of the flag of the Israeli occupation state and the placement of the flag of Palestine, and it was found from the footage that it came at night time when it was dark, which is likely that the incident occurred on the eve of the Israeli president’s visit.

Herzog met his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan today, Wednesday, shortly after his arrival in Ankara, on a visit described by the Hebrew media as historic and lasting 24 hours.
Herzog’s visit is the first by a high-ranking Israeli official since former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert visited Turkey in 2008, and is seen as an important step toward reviving relations between the two countries.
Herzog arrived on a plane bearing the words “peace”, “future” and “partnership”.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received his Israeli counterpart in an official ceremony in the capital, Ankara, in the presence of Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin, and other officials, along with a cavalry squad that escorted the guest to the protocol gate in the presidential complex, where Erdogan was received.
An official reception ceremony was held for the guest in the courtyard of the Presidential Complex, where the two national anthems were played, and 21 artillery rounds were fired to welcome the guest.
Herzog then saluted the honor guard, and the two leaders posed for pictures in front of their countries’ flags before heading off for a bilateral meeting followed by a joint press conference.
