The men’s and women’s national team continued to achieve outstanding results in the 44th World Chess Olympiad, which is currently being held in Chennai, India, until January 10, and the women’s results were the most prominent, as they advanced to second place in their group.

The head of the mission, Kholoud Al-Zarouni, confirmed in a press statement, “The results so far are satisfactory at the level of women and men, and we aspire to better results in the coming rounds. 4-0, then a tie in the third round with Egypt in a strong match and an Arab summit in the Olympics, then a victory in the fourth round over Mozambique 4-0, and at the level of individual results, Maryam Issa scored three points from three matches, Rawda Al Serkal three points from four matches and Moza Al Mansouri Two wins from four matches, Wafia Darwish one win from three matches, and Aisha Sarhan one win from two matches, and the women’s team occupies second place in this category.” She added, “The players have high morale, and they have a great incentive to leave their mark in the global forum, in which nearly 190 countries participate.”
