On the other hand, Shell plc (LON:) was up 3.87% or 82.00 points to end at 2,203.00. Auto Trader Group Plc (LON: ) which increased 3.21% or 17.40 points to trade at 559.60 at the end of the session.
On weak performance at the end of today’s trade, Carnival plc (LON: ) lost 4.66% or 30.60 points to trade at 626.20 at the close. Shares of EasyJet PLC (LON: ) were down 4.40% or 16.60 points at 360.30, while shares of EasyJet PLC were down 4.40% or 16.60 points at 360.30. Ocado group PLC ( LON: ) was up 3.59% or 29.20 points to end at 784.80.
Decliners outnumbered the number of stocks that closed in higher trade on the London Stock Exchange with 912 compared with 877, while 436 were unchanged.
Shares in EasyJet PLC (LON: ) fell 4.40% or 16.60 points to trade at 360.30, the lowest seen in the session.
Gold futures for August delivery rose 0.36%, or 6.40, to settle at $1,807.90 an ounce. In other commodities trading, WTI crude futures for August delivery rose 1.83%, or 1.98 points, to settle at $110.41 a barrel, while Brent oil futures for September settled up 1.78%, or 1.99 points, at $113.62 a barrel.
The GBP/USD pair maintained 0.06% stability and traded at 1.21 levels, while the EUR/GBP pair was unchanged at 0.11% to reach 0.86 levels.
Dollar index contracts traded up 0.05% at 104.96.
