Versace brings together Hollywood fashion and art icons

“Los Angeles is the perfect place to present a group full of confidence, glamor, and luxury.” With these words, designer Donatella Versace expressed the reason for presenting Versace’s ready-to-wear designs for the upcoming fall and winter, away from fashion capitals and outside the fashion week calendar. How did the atmosphere of this show look?

A group of the most prominent international models, such as Naomi Campbell, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner, participated in this celebration, while in the front rows of the audience sat the most famous friends of the house, such as: Elton John, Jeff Bezos, Cher, Demi Moore, Anne Hathaway, Dualiba, Miley Cyrus, and Pamela Anderson. …and the designs that were implemented seemed closer to high-end tailoring than to ready-made fashion, as they evoked Hollywood magic and the red carpet atmosphere of international festivals.

Presentation of the group took place a day before its scheduled date to avoid bad weather on the day that was set, and the show was held at the Pacific Design Center in Hollywood. The black color dominated most of the looks of the group, and it was accompanied by a shy appearance of brown and some vibrant colors such as blue, pink, green, and apricot. The floral print also entered some looks, adding its romantic touches to it.

Donatella Versace used geometric cuts as a key element in this collection, as we saw them repeated in “little black dresses” and suits that consisted of jackets accompanied by narrow skirts or trousers. Denim has entered many women’s and men’s looks, but it was presented in a luxurious style far from the “street elegance” or Streetwear character that usually accompanies it. We noticed the extensive use of crocodile-embossed leather, which also appeared printed on silk shirts.

Accessories were one of the basics of this group, as they added to the costumes the Hollywood glamor character. The designs were accompanied by long satin or leather gloves, dark sunglasses, transparent nylon stockings, as well as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings inspired by the eighties of the last century. As for the bags and shoes, they were decorated with the iconic symbols of the Versace house in the form of each gold or silver.

This show, presented by Versace, is considered one of the most prominent shows for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. It will remain a milestone in the history of the house and in the archives of international fashion.
