Android TV owners can download the app to them Vodafone TV. This is the first time the company has launched a smart TV app. Until now, viewers could watch Vodafone TV via a set top box, tablet, mobile phone, or in Google Chrome, Firefox or Edge internet browsers.
“Our goal is to continue to bring new possibilities to comfortably watch Vodafone TV. Customers can now watch this on Android TV devices that are less than five years old and equipped with at least Android 5.0. Meanwhile, we are also working on other TV platforms, such as Samsung and LG TVs,” said Milan Rachka, Vodafone’s Director of Internet and TV Services Development.
The operator said in a press release that Vodafone TV already has more than 300,000 customers. He also announced some news of the program. “Starting on April 1, we are introducing the premium documentary channel National Geographic Wild to everyone on the Vodafone 100 program. Through this channel, we celebrate Earth Day in April and the whole month, and viewers can enjoy encounters with nature and the wild,” added Milan Raschka.
The show has also expanded to the Ukrainian children’s channel Nick, which broadcasts fairy tales such as The Pawn Patrol, the Penguins from Madagascar or the Ninja Turtles. It is available on site 135 for all customers with Klasik, Komfort and Komplet tariffs. It thus completed the previously launched Ukraine International 1 + 1 programme.
