Less than a year after the premiere of the updated Volkswagen, the Tiguan underwent a similar treatment and an extended model. It has a new curve with LED headlights, and thanks to the optional strip over the larger radiator grille, the distinctive light expands. The taillights also have new graphics.
Inside, similar to a smaller model, there is a new steering wheel and touch control for ventilation. In addition to the new materials, the advanced Harman Kardon audio system is now available. The third row of seats available thanks to the extended 110 mm wheelbase is, of course, still on offer.

Driving aids were improved, as they reached the second level of autonomous driving. The base under the hood is a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a power of 110 kW, 150 hp. There is still a 2-liter petrol engine with a capacity of 140 kW, 190 hp, and a more powerful 180 kW, 245 hp, both 2 liter engines are equipped with four-wheel drive and a DSG dual-clutch transmission.
The alternative is a 110 kW, 150 hp or 147 kW, 200 hp 2.0 TDI diesel engine, with the more powerful version again offering DSG and all-wheel drive as standard.
Unlike the classic Tiguan, Allspace, unlike the classic Tiguan, you won’t see a hybrid or sharpened R version. The new product will go on sale in the Czech Republic in mid-June. Production will start at the Mexican plant in August and will be offered to local retailers in October.
