Volkswagen has released another trailer ahead of the premiere of the new generation Amarok pickup. The interior view shows a vertically positioned 12-inch infotainment screen.
It’s no secret that the novelty is based on the new Ford Ranger, and this screen, apparently including the software, is a very common element of the two cars. However, at the same time, it is now clear that the shape of the dashboard, exhaust and other details will be different for Volkswagen.

The physical shortcut buttons below the infotainment system are also unique to the amarok. In the latest trailer, we can also see a distinct Volkswagen steering wheel with integrated buttons.
In addition to Volkswagen’s infotainment, it’s confirmed in previous trailers that the Amarok will be equipped with a digital instrument panel, LED headlights with blinded cross-traffic, next-generation driving assistants, 10-way power-adjustable seats and a premium audio system.
Propulsion options will include one petrol and four diesel engines from 2.0 to 3.0 liters. We also know Amarok’s towing capacity is 3.5 tons and its payload capacity is 1.2 tons.
A brand new plush will be presented in the second half of this year, and Volkswagen will start production of a new product in South Africa this year.
