Singer Sherine Abdel Wahab appealed to her lawyer, from inside the hospital where she was being held, asking him to quickly get her out, noting that she was in good health.
Sherine told her lawyer through an audio recording: Please do anything to get me out of the hospital. They put me on paper, I don’t know what it is.. But I groceries for 20 days, and I stayed well and completed my treatment. Please, I need to be discharged.
Sherine Abdel Wahab’s lawyer revealed new details about her signing a declaration to complete her treatment by choosing the hospital, pointing out that Sherine was prevented from leaving the hospital despite a report issued by the Ministry of Health a week ago because she does not require compulsory treatment, and therefore she was forced to undergo elective treatment.
Sherine’s lawyer called on the Ministry of Health to intervene immediately, pointing out that this signature contains moral coercion against Sherine and against her desire, because she wants to leave the hospital, according to the “Cairo 24” website.
Sherine Abdel Wahab entered the hospital about 20 days ago, after her brother forced her to enter the hospital and forcibly detained her in a hospital in Cairo, which sparked widespread controversy on social media.
