Samsung smartphones have world-renowned imaging lenses. However, since Samsung is so popular, its default photography software tends to simplify photos and videos. As such, professional photographers may want to have more control. This is where Expert RAW comes in.
The Expert RAW camera app, which Samsung launched late last year, has arrived exclusively for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The app is now also available on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and we now know that it will make its way to other high-end Samsung phones soon. Based on Posted in the official Samsung forums in South KoreaSamsung has stated that Expert RAW will be available for more Galaxy devices starting on February 25. This is also when the app goes from beta to stable.
Thanks to another post on the Samsung Community Forums via XDA-DevelopersIn this article, we have a list of phones that will get the Expert RAW app. Unfortunately, it could be the other half of the year before all phones get the app, but at least we know what to expect.
Check out the full list below.

Interestingly, Samsung has included the Galaxy S21 Ultra in its list. Saying it will get support in March 2022. However, it has had support since last year, so regional versions should have support, which is why we’ve selected “all Galaxy S22 Ultra models” in March 2022.
Samsung says that in order to earn Expert RAW support, the phone’s camera must have a zoom lens capable of at least 2x optical zoom. Since the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy Note 20 are limited to 1.1x optical zoom, they will not receive camera app support.
