The Chinese giant, Xiaomi, announced its distinctive 200W fast charging technology during the last period, and today the latest reports confirm that Xiaomi continues to conduct tests on the technology in preparation for its official launch to the markets.

The 200W fast charging technology was revealed during the Mi 11 event held last May, where Xiaomi confirmed the ability of the new technology to charge smartphones from zero to 100% in just 15 minutes, and the Chinese giant reviewed the technology on the Mi 11 Pro phone.

And the new charging technology from Xiaomi was launched entitled “Xiaomi HyperCharge”, where Xiaomi used in its demo phone Mi 11 Pro with a capacity of 4000 mAh battery as an alternative to 5000 mAh, and tests revealed that the battery lost 20% of its capacity after 800 charging cycles.

Although these results are not the best, they offer improvements over standards set in China which require 60% of battery capacity after 400 charge cycles.

The latest reports revealed that this technology was contributed to the development by NuVolta Technologies, which is known for developing charging technology and silicon, and the report also indicated that this company recently introduced the second generation of the fast charging chip that supports Xiaomi HyperCharge technology.

The “NuVolta NU2205” chip is the fastest in charging technology to date, as it can reach a capacity of 100W, and it also supports the dual architecture of 4:2 battery cells in fast charging technology, which is the architecture that can support a fast charging capacity of 200W.

It is reported that the launch of this chip confirms that Xiaomi is continuing its plans to launch 200W fast charging technology sooner than previous expectations.
