The Egyptian League champions, Zamalek, opened their new season by defeating Enppi with a clean double, in the opening matches of the two teams in the championship.
And Zamalek started the match pressing the defenses of Enppi, as the white knight players were keen to pass the ball in the middle of the field, without any danger to the white goal.
Before the whistle at the end of the first half, Zamalek player Ahmed Sayed “Zizou” opened the scoring for his team against Enppi in the added time of the first half, with a penalty kick, obtained by his colleague Youssef Ibrahim “Obama”.
With the start of the second half, Zamalek continued their attacks on Enppi’s steadfast defenses, while Enppi’s players tried to reach the Zamalek goal to equalize, but to no avail.
Omar Al-Saeed, the Zamalek striker, fired a bullet of mercy at the Enppi team, and scored the second goal for his team in the 85th minute of the age of the first round of the Egyptian League competition.
With this victory, the white knight collected the first 3 points in his pocket this season, to start the journey to defend his title amid difficult financial conditions, as well as the process of preventing the restriction.
Foreign players continue to shine with the start of the Egyptian League
On the other hand, the success of foreign players continued to score goals with the start of the Egyptian Premier League, as they scored in the first five matches of the opening round, including two matches on Tuesday.
Nigerian John Okoli scored the goal of the Arab Contractors 1-0 victory over Al Sharqiya for Dukhan in the 17th minute after exchanging the ball with Abdullah Yassin.
Later, Tunisian defender Seif Taqa advanced with a goal for Ceramica before drawing 1-1 with El Gouna, who scored through striker Khaled Qamar.
Five matches have been played in the opening round of the league so far, and foreigners have scored in all of these matches.
So far, the foreigners have scored seven of their 15 goals, making a promising start after years of criticizing clubs for picking mediocre foreigners.
